kitchen island

This is a new home with new cabinets that I did a custom finish on. There is a metallic copper red that is really pretty. And you sure can't see that in the photos! Notice the butcher block top that will look really great with these cabinets when it gets conditioned and used.

PAINTED FIREPLACE TILE

After
This was a "dated" Green Fireplace tile surround. I've painted it to match a expensive tile the client liked, however she didn't have the buget.for the real thing. The bright brass was sprayed with a heat safe flat black.

Decorative Front Door

The details above the front door were added by the carpenter. My treatment was a furniture finish with metallic foil and glazes and tipped in metallic again! That center decorative piece previously lived in the house in a different room and was a white washed peachy color! The actual doors do not have my finish on them; the general painter on the job did those.

New projects!!

I didn't think about taking a before picture of this vanity... it was painted white. The cabinet maker added the shelves on the left to make it fit the space better and I did my magic with paint! Notice the neat wallpaper in this bathroom.

This banner was a "last minute"
request from the church decorating committee. It's 8' tall and almost 5' wide on canvas hung from a metal rod. It looks pretty awesome!

KITCHEN REVEAL!!

I'm really excited about this kitchen makeover! These started out as typical golden stained oak cabinets. The homeowner had the cabinet maker do some magic. He added feet (for a furniture look)  in selected areas and visually raised some top cabinets using crown molding which added major detail to the original cabinets. Then I did "my thing" ~ Three different finishes. A black raisin with glaze is the darkest. Dark ash distressed and glazed finish met up with the dark. The island has a crackle finish with glaze and topped off with a metallic foil on the door profile. Sorry I don't have any before pictures. I actually didn't see this kitchen layout before I started the project. The homeowners (thinking they were going to tackle this project) had removed all the cabinets! They gave me a call ... were they in over their heads!!? The granite is also new. They are waiting on a diamond shaped tile back splash; then it will be complete!
